Absolutely! I have reached the age of being painfully aware of my reduced attention to detail, so I have actually considered putting a tether on the copter for my first attempt to fly ( I know that's a bad idea, but I briefly considered it)

You got it exactly right! Sticks down and then out and it fired right up. I guess I'm not real good at following written instruction. Bad trait. I took the props off before trying it since I didn't know what I was doing. Thank you very much for your help.

I just received my new Phantom 1.1.1. I got it all put together, charged the batteries and did the calibration of the compass. The copter flashes a slow green that I assume means all is well, but there I am stuck. I have seen no activity from any of the motors yet and don't know how to...
