well i finally opened it back up and was able to confirm that I soldered the positive and negative motors wires correctly to the main board. so I ended up buying another main board since it was only $12 and installing it again to make sure. I got better motor response and motors no longer go...

Hopefully that's the cause. I'll open it up tonight when I get home and let u know. Thanks again
