Flight Log: Tell Us Bout Your Flights

Yeah. Using Turnigy 950mAh 1S 15 or 20C I think. I was concerned that maybe the motors wouldn't take the extra current, but so far this little beast has done well with the extra oomph. I never did use the camera after the first few flights. The video quality was essentially useless IMHO. So I...

Flight Log: Tell Us Bout Your Flights

Today was a good day for flying. Overcast, but warm enough. This past Tuesday I got a new kit to build. LHI210 from Amazon (Crazepony). Essentially it's a QAV clone. Decent parts. Emax 2204/2300kv CC3D (Replacing it with a SP F3) DalRC 12A BLHeli Oneshot ESCs I replaced the PDB with a Matek 5 in...

ESC and motor wiring -- curious

That's been my experience as well Don. But after watching that video I was curious as to how others were wiring their motors and ESCs.

    Only one engine turns on

At least it was something "simple" :)

Where do you buy your parts?

I love my Amazon Prime account ;) I don't use many of the others. Hobbyking once in a while, but for specific stuff. I'll check out the others too. Thanks GJH

Where do you buy your parts?

I guess the 1 pin ribbon will have to do for now. :) Thanks for the link Jackson.

Where do you buy your parts?

Yeah, I know the 3 wire is specifically for servos. But I have seen 4 pin and more. I don't really need anything more than 4 wire connectors. I have about 30 3 pin, male/female cables. They serve me well. If I have to slice and dice a few of those up to suit my needs, guess I'll do that.

    Video Editing

There aren't many free linear editors available for Windows 10. That's one reason I chose the Sony Movie Studio program. Basic version starts at $49.95 and goes up from there. $79.95 for the "Platinum" version. You can find the basic package here. If memory serves me, all the Home versions can...

Where do you buy your parts?

Don't know how the rest of you go about buying parts for your drone projects, but I'm getting dizzy bouncing from one site to the next. Do any of you have a "one place for everyting" online shop? What I'm looking for is servo wires/cables. I'd like to have 2, 3 and 4 pin cables that have 2, 3...

    Control question

Mine has done about 4320 degrees before ... after hitting the ground and rolling ;)

    Only one engine turns on

Are you saying only one motor spins up when you arm it? Or only one motor spins when you give it throttle?

Oh No!!!! A Drone has hit a plane!

But I also see "concerned" users being ignored as well. I worked for a newspaper for 12 years. I can't tell you how many times facts were glossed over or ignored in order to increase paper sales. It was well known that not everything was being reported accurately, but it was deemed "proper" by...

Oh No!!!! A Drone has hit a plane!

But if they did that, they'd miss the "scoop" of the century and lose MILLIONS of dollars and readers/viewers/subscribers. News media is in business these days for one reason; to make money! So if you can release a story, without having all the facts, and it draws millions of hits to your...

    I broke it

It depends on the flight controller you're using, so I'm going to guess it's a CC3D board. Try this Youtube video for information. You'll need to know exactly what flight control board you are using in order to know which software to use to communicate. Naturally, you will need a computer (MAC...

    I broke it

When I crashed my 250, the FC and PDB stack went askew causing mine to drift right as well. Plugging in my CC3D to LibrePilot and making sure the frame was absolutely level, I re-calibrated and saved. Now it flies the way it's supposed to. Highly recommend when you replace any part, whether...
