Looks like a direct knock off or rebranding of that Syma X8 series of quads, I have an 8XW and it looks to be identical, Syma parts are readily available, I would try gears made for the Syma X8W.

Make sure you did't put the prop on upside down, any writting on the prop shoul be facing up, also if you had more tan 1 prop off at the same time make sure you put them back on in there correct locations.

Try another battery, also make sure battery connection is good, I have had some problems with after market battery connectors not seating properly, wiggle the connector in good and tight.

They should fit fine and you do not need a balance charger with a single cell battery. Balance chargers balance the cells in multiple cell battries.

I just use the aligator clips supplied with my charger to charge my syma battery, just have to be careful and don't do this if you are not available to keep an eye on it while chargeing and be very carefull to observe correct polarity, black to black red to red

Bummer, Syma has never given me a problem that wasn't of my own doing and I have owned 3. China really doesn't know what QC means and most of the time I don't believe they want to know, really hate it for the young one. I am out of suggestions on this one.

The only type of transmitter that would require this type of modificaton would be a " toy" quad transmitter. Hobby grade and above provide more range than needed for LOS flying. Watch some you tube videos showing this type of modification.

Give this one more try: quad on first, controler on, move both sticks to bottom right and hold, lights should start blinking then go to solid, my understanding is that this reset only works if the quad is turned on first. Try this, turn the quad on first then the controler, before turning the controller on make sure throttle is in full down position. Hope this works, I hate for a child to be dissapointed on Christmas day.
