There was no label on mine - perhaps it was left off or I got an early one? Anyway, an image on Google gave me a clue - though the wire colors weren't the same, I guess that ground was on top and the signal lead was on the bottom, which turned out to be the case.

Okay guys, it is fixed and working! And the receiver is getting power from the throttle servo connection. But it was a hassle getting things connected as there were no markings on the receiver as to how to plug in the servo connections. The manual gave no clue and I could not find any help...

I just tried it out - using an ESC with a BEC, I plugged the command line to the throttle port but no joy. No perceived power to the receiver. I then plugged the ESC command line to the Power port and success! I was able to successfully bind to my transmitter, and when I toggled the gear switch...
