*WARNING* Avoid Twister Quattro X *WARNING*

Disgusted is about right. NEVER again. I rather get a phantom, and do the firmware updates. Twister/Cheerson/whatever, sucks so bad I am surprised they're still in business. Imagine having a quad up in the air with carbon props, then it decides it wont respond. If children were around, or other...

*WARNING* Avoid Twister Quattro X *WARNING*

My experience with this quad is terrible. Yesterday the bloody thing went entirely out of control after not responding to the transmitter. First the throttle wouldn't respond then the left and right went out. The Quad crashed into a river on the edge of the water and bank with my GoPro4. I...

    Balancing Rod

Maybe, But I need a shaft with a thread on each end. One CW the other CCW. Do heli's have CCW threads too?

    Balancing Rod

Tried the fuel pipe. That wasn't very good. Way too many variables with movement of the hub on the pipe and rod. Looks like I will need to get the expensive metal rod for inbuilt hubs, and till that arrives the derwent will do.

Twister Quattro X - Mind of its own

Not sure I follow Jackson. Are you saying that Cheerson and Twister are ultimately the same? And that randomness from BangGood deliveries confirms this? I have the one on the right. What is important to me is whether or not the quad can be 'trusted'. Does it work off a radio signal when in...

Twister Quattro X - Mind of its own

Yep watched all the model engines youtube videos. Apparently the model engines guys developed the Twister especially for Australia. They moved the GPS into the tower and the compass into the body, updated the hardware and firmware, painted the front orange and released it. I am well and truly...

So where Do I buy a Hobby Ouadcopter that the Company is Reputable?

If in Australia, I would seriously reconsider buying a Twister Quattro X. The after sales support is non existent from Model Engines (wholesaler). The hobby shop I brought the quad from did everything they could to fix the issues, and eventually replaced the quad entirely. My old quad is still...

Twister Quattro X - Mind of its own

The bottom one yes. The Cheerson apparently has different hardware and software, even though the body is identical. I know every quad can be vulnerable to GPS issues. But in full manual, I assume the quad is working off a radio signal from the transmitter. I would have though this is a fail...

    Balancing Rod

Would a derwent pencil be okay? Or would wood be not uniform enough?

    Balancing Rod

What shafts do people use in their Du Bro balancers for the self tighten props? And where did you get it from? I see them on ebay for 40 odd bucks, which is crazy, surely there is something local This is the rod...

Twister Quattro X - Mind of its own

The GPS was locked with a solid green light. I find it hard to imagine that the GPS and transmitter were blocked. This is the first time this has happen, and I am really put off. It's dangerous to have these things doing whatever they like. And with carbon props it could end badly for a person...

Twister Quattro X - Mind of its own

Yes it does. However the quad was in full manual mode. Not using the GPS function like RTH, altitude control, gps hold. That's what makes this very concerning.

Twister Quattro X - Mind of its own

As the title suggest my twister decided not to respond to the transmitter. Copter was in full manual mode, about 1m off the ground. I was practising landing and take off, when for no reason it just started hovering up to 3-4m then down to 2m then up, and so on. I finally ran over grabbed the...

    Brushless Gimbal

Thanks for the reply HN, I have been to the bolt shop and bought standard m6 nyloc nuts, but the store didn't have CCW nyloc's. Is there anywhere to buy these? Or what is the work around?

    Brushless Gimbal

Hi Everyone, I recently brought my first quad, a Twister Quattro X, with 2 axis gimbal and FPV. I took it for a test flight and enjoyed the experience of flying a quad for the first time. All was going well till one of the prop nuts flew off and the quad crashed to the ground. Upon impact the...
