Oh right I see, my ESC's have a BEC built in so i wouldnt need that. Just a dimension I might want to duplicate that you have, from the outside of the motor to the edge of the mdf... What size is that? trying to draw up the mounting holes is a pain as I dont have the motor yet and I dont know...

So if i design mine with the arms attached to the main base plate like in your first pic and attach my motor mounts to the mdf will mine still be okay? does the moter mount go between motor and mdf or beaneath mdf? Im not sure?

Yes that is where I have hit a wall, I think for my fist build I will just leave the servo off and just have a spotlight on the quad which I hope i can switch on and off via my last channel... If I can make that work then I think i have a final design in my head :P What size did you do you...
