Is it still worth buying a drone in the UK?
Do you need a permit or licence for posting in YouTube or for stock video or Photography?
Have a laugh on me!!!

As far as I understand it you don’t need a permit unless you fly commercially,
I don’t know whether posting it on YouTube would be classed as commercial but I doubt it, anyway I would find it hard to believe they would see it, let alone do anything.
I don’t know about stock photography though but I would be a bit more cautious with that
These are just my opinions I haven’t read anything from the CAA.

Across the pond, we have no rules for NOT flying one and plenty of rules FOR flying one. Stay in the UK! Also the guy in the video is speaking English, right? Us Yankee Rednecks just can't understand that kind of English. Ya'll come back,Y'here!

No you don't. & not for your own video on YouTube. Even if monetized.
If someone pays you for work, then you do. Cash works well for no trail.
I know a roofer who I used to scout some stuff out for him. It got to be a pain so I sold him a setup. I suppose you would need a permit for this but he doesn't bother. He could just start be flying on his break.
