So im trying to reuse esc from a quad to my new build and theres 3 wires for wiring to receiver or fc. Do i need all red wires to goto receiver or to the fc most esc dont have the extra red wire cause i think its cause it has a bec to give power to rx or fc but dont know if i need all 4 conected.

It's 4 wires, signal & ground to fcb, the other are power from pdb. The other end is 3 wires to the motor. If you have bec esc's then there will be 5wires at one end & 3 the other end. Opto esc's are just signal & ground. These goto the corresponding motor pins on the fcb.

No im not talking about the esc power wires but with them its 5 n 4, most have jus 4 signal n ground then the power n ground. Im jus wondering about the ones that do have the signal ground n power then the esc power n ground do i need all 4 extra power wires going to rx or fc which i think is jus used to power the rx or fc can i jus remover the extra small power wire on 3 of them. Or cut all out. There a custom emax lightening 20a esc and came off a eachine v-tail 210 bought for the hardware and bought a new frame.

Oh yo can just use 1 power wire.
But all still have to be earthed.
This used to fry old boards a few years back. I came across it on a forum but it was after the fact and I never had a problem. Connecting all four 5v wires.

That has to do with the type of BEC. The linear type (that heat up the ESC) will work fine. The newer, more efficient switching types (SBEC) are the ones that cause problems if all are connected.

Still learning cowboy;)
Guess I touched lucky, I did read that but some things sink in some don't. If I got the sbec, you got it.
The first esc I got was simonk. Couldn't do anything with them other than calibrate. When I got down from 6 esc's to 3, opto were all the rage so I bought some littlebee. Which I'm still running for over a year.
