Okay so heres my story. Im new to the hobby. I started off with a walmart brand sky viper. Got the basics down with that quad. After losing one on top of my local metro pcs store :/ as soon as i started learning how to maneuver the cheap little "stunt drone" i fell in love and wanted more. So i traded my amp and subwoofers right out of my trunk on a facebook swap page for a quad i know nothing about. It was just the quad. No tx. no battery. But its a 250. It has a camera and a fatshark fpv tx. I bought new blades, gemfam 5030. 2 new batteries. Bias 1300mah 50c 4s. A turnigy accucell 6 charger. And a radiolink at10 10 channel tx with the r10d rx. I know nothing about this quad. Or really any other quad because im new. And no one i know flys. Im at a stand still here. See, i binded the tx and rx and i know its binded cause ive watched videos on how to bind and the screen on my tx shows telemetry. Or signal. But for the life of me idk how to get this dang thing in the air. I didnt have the correct plugs to plug into the rx so i made my own.. One of the many many questions i have is the wires coming from the (motherboard)? If thats the name of it, there are three right? Power ground and data. Right? If thats all that comes from the board into the rx then im good. I have them all hooked up correctly. But i cant get the quad to spin the blades. It wont move. I plug it in. It beeps. And the props jump once in a while. But nothing.. ANY help would be so much appreciated. The "motherboard" is double stacked. But the wires that go into it for rx are soldered. There is no plug option. Just 3 wires coming out of it so i hooked up my rx to it and its obviously right because its linked up. If anyone knows anything about this please help me out. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ryan.

Welcome to the addiction you've got a lot to do (and learn)! First of all, the "mother board" is the flight controller. See, you can't just plug it in and go, it needs to be set up through a software program. First thing you need to do is post a few closeup pics of the flight controller, motors and ESCs (the units that are soldered on between the motors and the flight controller so we know what you have, as different flight controllers require different software.

It wont let me upload pics. Its saying file too large. Maybe i can make a youtube video when my son wakes up.

Hi mate join a free photo library on line up load the photos to that and post the links
OK getting back to the quad I would imagine that it's set up to fly your need to adjust it the your transmitter ( what one do you have)
The wires to the receiver are live the middle wire , then the earth , the last is the signal wire now this is always the lightest colour of all the 3 wires the receiver will have a mark to what way round it is
If the props jump on the power up then all it is your not armed .this will be done normally by throttle all the way down and right rudder on some FCB your you have to input off both sticks we will know more once we see the FCB you have
Now if you do get it to arm be careful a 250 racer is very fast I would test arm and disarm with the props off
If you fly it don't FPV yet till you can do basic flight after you master this then try FPV

Hey thanks. Im gonna upload a video. I have a radiolink at10 transmitter. Ive tried arming it with sticks down to the left the right. Yes it was flown before me and i have the wires correct. Im sure. The red light on the reciecer is solid and i get a signal to the transmitter. Im gonna go make a video now.

Ok, so if you only have 3 wires going from the receiver to the flight controller (motherboard) that means it's an sBus connection. Your R10D receiver has 2 modes, PWM & sBus, and red light means it's in PWM mode. On the side of your R10D receiver there's a small hole and if you stick a small allen or something in it, you'll feel that there's actually a button in there. Press it twice quickly and the red light should change from red to a blueish purple colour. Your receiver is now in sBus mode and should be talking to your flight controller

Definite possibility. If the guy you bought it from was using sBus then it might fly. If he was using PWM, then you'll have to change the receiver settings in LibrePilot. It only takes a couple minutes

Hi mate if its one lead from the receiver to the fcb its sbus
sbus lead is one plug into the receiver then throttle wire is 3 wires in one plug the other channels are all just signal wires

Hi mate we need to know what FCB it has can you ask the guy you got it from , this will help a lot as then we will know what pc software you need to set up

I tried pushing the button twice. Fast. And the light stays red. Any other suggestions? I really want to fly :( lol
