Openpilot dx6i throttle backwards? Plz help

Hi everyone I just finished building my first multicopter. I have a 250 quadcopter with a cc3d I think it's acro or something. Not sure. I have a spectrum dx6i transmitter and receiver.

The problem is that when I power on my quad the throttle low is all the way turned up on my receiver. So the max is for off and min. is full blowing max throttle.
Well in my excitement of building this quad, I tried to hover anyway. It's really hard to think backwards with the throttle. I successfully got 3 feet off the ground! Then broke a prop on landing. :(
So, now I'm faced with dealing with my backwards throttle and maybe some more setting up on openpilot. I know nothing of fly modes and programming them to my reciever/quadcopter

Hi Trehy , First remove the props , then go in to the dx6i and reverse the throttle channel, then do an esc calibration ,this should fix the problem test with no props but do not run at full throttle for more than the few seconds as there is no props fitted the motors can over rev which will damage them
If you need step by step just give me a shout

Hey Holtneil, thankyou for the information. I'm new to the dx6i or any transmitter. I have no instructions for anything. I built my quad by watching YouTube. So if it's not a hassle the steps would be great. I'm so lost with all the programming and don't wanna crash lol. Thankyou

Hi sorted go into FCB software , look at input , the throttle channel is there, there is a box at the end which may be ticked if it is un tick it this is throttle reverse leave the transmitter as it is

Have you got the manual if not let me know but just start software and look for input it has a pic of a transmitter click on that and your see all the channels in slider form at the end of each is the box to reverse that channel
The DX6i should be set up as an aero ( plane) basic no mixing at all , I am at work very early in the morning so if I dont get back tonight I will tomorrow

Awesome, I think I remember the software section you are talking about. I think i set it up as multicopter... I'm at the hospital waiting for my son to be born! So this may put off my first flight another day or so.. Ill try it out when I get back home. Thankyou for your help...

Ok well, I watched some YouTube videos on setting up openpilot also. Basically I think I had my throttle setting backwards like u said. So I'm having problems uploading a pic here it says it's too large a file for th e server. But I switched it and I'm going to try to turn the motors after I try to figure out how to set up a stable flight mode. I watched one video but it's all a blurr now. I wish I could post the pic of the flight mode switch settings. I'm not sure how to bind a switch on my receiver to a flight mode....

Ok I just noticed my throttle is pm channel 6, roll is chan 2, pitch chan 3, and yay channel 4, flight mode chan 1, collective disabled, and 3 accessories disabled.

I'm guessing throttle should b 1 and flight mode should be 5

Hi most used idle up switch on the dx6i , but cant you use AUX channel to jump between stable and acro mode with is channel 5 , yes throttle is channel 1
Hows the new baby all well I hope

He's great bran new baby boy. Can't stop holding him.

So, if I switch the channels on openpilot all will be OK? Or do I have to switch my transmitter wiring?

Ok switched the channel., reversed my throttle with the check box on openpilot in the input section. set attitude mode for mode 1 which will be default. Controls should be OK to fly. Now that I set everything up. I can't seem to get it to arm.. Even when it's in always armed... Grrr! Should get another prop today or tomorrow to try it out but I can't get the motors to spin with my receiver now!

Yeah his grandmother is holding him right now. Waiting for battery to charge and then on my way. (flew this morning no problem} I ordered a bosscam fpv system last night so fpv here I come!

250qav Chinese 2nd flight.. Poor video:

LOL I put an old phone on it and filmed this. you can notice the vibration as I desend, is there any way to fix that? Feels sketchy as I come down

Hi Treyh it can be a few things , jello from the camera if its hard mounted to the frame , the camera need to be on what they call a clean plate
Plastic blades can make the quad wallow as you descend
Descending in your own rotor wash , try forward flight in a fig of 8 and descend at the same time
