Syma X5SC-1 Not syncing

Hi All,

New to the forum.
Today my son received for Christmas a Syma X5SC-1.
Unfortunately we cannot get it to work.
We have followed the instruction to sync but to no avail.
We switch on the controller, then the QC, but the 4 LEDs on the bottom of the QC illuminate and stay on, they do not flash at all, so sync is not possible.
I have tried 7 different fully charged batteries, but all give the same result.
To say my son is really disappointed on Christmas day is an understatement.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions, or am I going to have to replace it as DOA and wait for a replacement?

You are doing it correctly by turning on the transmitter first, but is the throttle (left) stick all the way down? If so, move both sticks all the way down and then to the right and hopefully you'll get flashing LEDs. When they go solid it should be OK. Hope this works
 
Try this, turn the quad on first then the controler, before turning the controller on make sure throttle is in full down position. Hope this works, I hate for a child to be dissapointed on Christmas day.
 
Thankyou for the reply, but sadly this isn't working either.
From what I understand regardless of or whether you switch on the controller or QC first (I have tried both ways) the lights on the QC should flash quickly then after a few seconds flash slowly, and then allow to sync.
Unfortunately as soon as you switch on the QC the LEDs switch on and stay on, no flashing at all, not even after several minutes.
I have decided to return this as DOA and get a replacement.
 
Give this one more try: quad on first, controler on, move both sticks to bottom right and hold, lights should start blinking then go to solid, my understanding is that this reset only works if the quad is turned on first. If the lights do blink and then go solid then the reset was suscessful and you shoul be able to bind
 
Bummer, Syma has never given me a problem that wasn't of my own doing and I have owned 3. China really doesn't know what QC means and most of the time I don't believe they want to know, really hate it for the young one. I am out of suggestions on this one.
 
I appreciate your help and ideas. I purchased it from Amazon and have already started the returns process. Really frustrating, but nothing I can do about it. Amazon apologies for the issue, and will issue a refund once it is returned, but that was about it.
I have had to purchase another one as for some ridiculous reason Amazon can only accept a return for a refund and won't do an exchange on it.
 
Hi All,

The new QC was delivered today and was up and running within seconds of opening the box, so the other one was definitely DOA. I am now off out with my son to go and fly his new QC.
