Hi all,
I total new to all this quadcopter fun, but had a go with a shop bought mini one a few week ago and now i think i have the bug.

Now i like to build things (even when you could buy one) so i have made a list of parts, could you give us a nod if I'm on the right tracks.

1) flysky fs ct6b transmitter (already have)
2) cc3d flight controller (been given)
3) 4 x 30A esc
4) 4 x 2212 kw1000 motors
5) 4 x 10inch 4.5 props
6) 2 x 11.1 3s 35c lipo 5500mA
7 ) An I max B6 charger

The frame i'll make from balsa (already have from other projects) for now anyway .

Im not looking for speed more like to get the hang of flying the thing, maybe later fitted with a camera.

thanks

No balsa. Those are big motors, big props and big batteries. Where I live 3 foot, square hardwood dowels are quite cheap and come in various sizes. You should also look for some 3mm or 1/8" hobby plywood.

Hi,
I'm only using balsa cos i have a load of it doing nothing (no cost), when i can fly the thing i will make a new one out of carbon fibre tube (can get off cuts from work),
I have gone for the larger motors/prop so at a later date when i remake it i can build one for a camera + have longer fly time.

Sounds great haha. Balsa is a great material to work with, just keep in mind that little vibrations can wear screws to be somewhat loose. I had that problem using too soft a wood, though balsa should be fine.
