Newbie stupid question?

I need to ask a question, it may be stupid.

I have the Flysky FS-T6-RB6 transmitter, its a a 6 channel system but what exactly does that mean? I have on top of the standard sticks, 4 switches and two knows but what are their functions, my receiver only has 6 Channels, so how are these additional switches used?

Spend some time thoroughly reviewing the manual and running through the System and Setup menus.

The pots and switches are all labelled. As it sits turning the pots will show movement in the top pic for channels 5/6. This can be changed in the bottom menu.

Don't be afraid to try some changes, if you mess something up there is a master reset option.

I'm just confused about the number of channels, four channels are taken by the sticks, so that leaves two channels but I have 4 switches and two Potentiometer knows, so to my newbie brain that feels like 10 channels. Confusing!

Well, 6CH pretty much means you can only use (in your case) two of the six additional knobs or switches for actually sending commands to the receiver. The switches and dials are assignable which means that you can program (using the remote and FCB software) what function they control (such as a dial adjusting gimbal tilt, or a toggle switching flight modes). The four left over can be used to toggle/adjust controls/modes on the remote itself. Basically, all you would be able to use for controlling functions on the actual quadcopter would be two of the 6 toggles and dials. Hope this helped a little at least. ;)

Yes that helps a lot, so the receiver on the quad is stopping me from using anymore functions (not that I need them)
I plan on using the two switches for led lights on/off and auto level on/off.
Thank you

Yeah, the remote can't transmit more than 2 additional channels (in addition to the four basic), and the receiver can't pick up more than those two either. The remote has so many assignable controls so you can choose where a certain function's switch will be at (I always assign the top right toggle as the flight mode switch). Your two additional channel config looks good also. It's always nice to have a switch for lighting on the remote instead of having it always on, or just having a switch on the quadcopter itself. :)

You're very welcome!
