When I got my quad used it came with a fat shark 600 tvl camera/tx. How is this camera compared to today's cameras? Will it give me a decent picture? Also, because the camera/tx is fat shark, does this mean I need fat shark goggles/rx? Or will any brand link up to the fat shark camera/tx?
 
You can use any goggle, the widely available 40 chanel ones cover all the bands.

It depends on your needs. Your 600TVL will probably have very low latency (reaction time from when captured to actually seen) which is very important for fast proximity flying, think racing.
