Hey Mac, How did you manage to pump 24.9V into a 11.1V Drone without turning it to toast? Did you have to make any mods to the drone ? If you keep flying it with the 6S please keep us posted as to how long it lasts.

Once you created an account with DJI you should be able to download the latest firmware to a micro sd card from their website, DJI/support/select Phantom Series/downloads/firmware. This may be helpful

Not familiar with the Trackimo, I use TKstar GPS size of a half dollar coin and is free with the app, I would be cautious putting it close to the battery, if you do, use some sort of insulation from EMF ( Electro Magnetic Field ) as the lipo batteries produce fields especially when discharging...
