2nd flight, now i have smoke..

finally got my Eachine falcon 250 in the mail, and flew it into a chain link fence.. now i have smoke coming from the frame. looks like the PDB has been compromised, as from the burn mark, i have continuity from pos and neg leads.

Is this common with a carbon fiber PDB? of course flying a quad into a fence should not be common, but just curious if this is a routine problem for others. thanks.

i pulled the quad from the fence, and it still flew/ not even a bent prop. the quad was flying fine when i smelled burning, i landed it, and seen smoke coming from the baseplate/side piece of the frame where they meet. took it apart and disconnected the naze32, osd, camera and vtx and powered up the board. I think the side plate shorted a trace in the PDB, and smoke was NOT from components.

Everything checked out voltage wise with unit apart. I wanted to start the motors and run it for a bit so i reconnected the FC, and the RX. It seems like the FC wont arm the motors.. The turn signal leds all work, that makes me think the tx/rx must be bound together. it just wont arm by holding down/right as usual.

SO, i pulled the naze32 and plugged it into my pc.. it wont connect, and i noticed the processor chip gets pretty hot, as i cant keep my finger on it more than 5 seconds.. is that a bad sign?

Edit: there is a bright green led, and a VERY dim blue led, that are on constant when plugged into pc, then board just starts heating up

i wouldntve bought this quad if id knew it had a "customized" naze 32. Not fond of the PDB either.. too easy to mess up a trace . i was originally gonna build a quad, but i was recommended this falcon 250 instead which was well over $100 cheaper and no labor involved

So, $30 in new PDB, and new FC, and the time to resolder escs etc.. shoulda just built my own.
