Can 5.8ghz transmission garble flight controller?

I have a syma x8, i was going to use the syma x5 5.8ghz fpv kit with it. I put the camera onto the drone,, but suddenly the drone wouldnt fly right. It would gradually lean back,, wouldnt tilt as much as normal, and if I recalibrated the gyro it would choose some random up,, further from true up than when it was problematic. Turning it off and back on would enable a takeoff, but immediately it would start to lame. The next day,, no camera kit,, it steadily fixed itself,, starting a little lame, but as the flight went on it became more familiar.

Not the controller,, the circuitboard. The gyro onboard, the micro-controller etc.,, because there IS a vtx,, might the fc start to fail?

Not to my knowledge. I suppose if you had a crap pdb & used no capacitors there would be spikes. But even when I built my first drone off of RC model reviews on YouTube. That's a dinosaur all the red all solderd in a bunch then all the black then all the step downs, it was rf nightmare.
Few dropouts but it's not that much of a problem anymore. My vtx & most other ppl have there boards on there stack or to the side so do not worry about this.
