Help with getting JJRC H6C Quadcopter to fly

I just recently bought this little drone for my son but I am unable to get the thing to fly. The remote seems to not communicate with the drone. The lights are on the remote and the quadcopter but I can not get it to take off. Please advise

• The signal is good on the remote
• The battery is completely charged
• I purchased brand new from Amazon

Starting with the throttle down (left stick) once you have both on are you moving the throttle fully up then down again?

Yes. It goes from 0 to 100% but the drone doesn't do anything.

Are you plugging in the quad first and seeing a rapid flashing of the lights?
