I recently repaired a quad that crashed when the lipo pack slipped from its velcro harness and separated from the aircraft. After completing repairs I tested the motors and found the #2 motor wasn't working well. I isolated the problem to the motor, ESC or possibly both so I decided to replace both components - T-Motor MN5008 KV400 and T-Motor 40A Air ESC. The total cost was $149.98 which included $10 shipping. But I just received a notice from UPS saying that I owe an import tax (tariff) of $94.68 - OUCH!
I was unable to find a domestic source for the motor and ESC and so I had to order directly from T-Motor which is headquartered Nanchang, China.
