Over the years, I've experienced three crashes that cold have been avoided if I had conducted a thorough preflight inspection. The first one was due to a bullet connector one of the ESC lines coming apart inflight. The second involved a large Tarot quad with foldable propellers and one of the propeller blades separated.

The third, most recent crash happened when I failed to check how secure the LIPO was and it slipped from its harness at an altitude of 30 meters click here.
Besides the obviouls structural checks there are other checklist items that may be sequence dependent:
Battery charging - transmitter, LIPO, RemoteID, anti-collision strobes, video monitor, laptop - if running Mission Planner
startup sequence - turn on transmitter, camera, aircraft, telemetry connection,
I can't count the number of times I Took off and forgot to turn on camera recording!
