KDS K7XII Transmitter & K8x reciever

I had this transmitter( KDS K7XII) and reciever (KDS K8X) laying around from my helicopter flying days and was wondering if anyone knew if they can be used to fly drones and connect to the Betaflight f3 board?
If they can, there will be no need for me to purchase another trans and reciever, but iam unable to find anything online about the compatibility, and i would like to know if anyone has the answer.

It appears that the K8X is only a PWM receiver so wouldn't be compatible with the BF F3, which requires a PPM or sBus signal
 
If I were able to bind the remote to a sbus reciever, that should work correct? And do you Know if the remote is able to bind to another type of reciever?
