Should the red wire be cut?
Please help its driving me bonkerso_O

Hi Martin have you bound the transmitter to the receiver then plugged all leads to the naza FCB ,also check on the naza PC software that its set to the right type of receiver

Hi holtneil,
All the wires elevator, rudder, throttle, etc are in place on the Naza when I bind the transmitter to the receiver, but if the other wires are in the right place I don't know I just followed the video on YouTube.
How do I go obout getting into the software of the naza, I'm sorry for being a bit dim, but as I say I'm a complete technophobe :(

Cheers Martin.

No Problem Martin all the info you need is on the DJI site , A little while back you could flash the naza lite with the full naza M firmware which made it into the naza m , I dont know if they have stopped it yet

Yes and it will make it the full blown naza M
Did you naza m come with its own bec these are very power hungry FCB

Hi holtneil, As I said a complete newbie, downloaded the link you gave me and I cant sign in, just wont highlight register to continue.
Im beginning to think this build your own isn't as simple as I first thought, just solder a couple of wires here and there, plug in and away you go,
its not like my old control line back in the day:rolleyes:.

Cheers Martin.

Hi holtneil, Thanks mate I'll try that I didn't realize that it all had to be hooked up to the computer.
I Will try it all out tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for all your help.
Cheers Martin.

Hi Martin , your need the quad powered up so remove the props , the naza will do an update if the firmware is the old one , just let it do this and finish before you start to set up , and make sure if you change any setting click on update to save it to the FCB

Hi holtneil, wasted all day today trying to figure out how to get naza m light to work, switching on, and wiring options, uninstalled and re installed dji naza m light assist three or four times.
The assist just does not seem to run properly I get to the channel monitor section for the thro, ele, etc but there is no response on the sliders when I move the transmitter controls.
when I click the assist icon on the desk top the dji rotor light logo comes on, would the thin red line be a status bar only its only 3/4 full and the word skip under it,
theres no log in prompt, and the mc out put is on, as I say there is no response at all.
All I want to do is fly it im afraid its trying my patience:mad:.

Cheers Martin.

My Pc is running windows 7 so it should work on 7 ok

Hi holtneil, Still have no motors turning, but at least got into naza assist now and sliders are responding how they should to the transmitter.
I uninstalled my internet security, and reinstalled a windows one :p.
I did try to arm the motors but run out of time this evening so ill try again tomorrow evening. I am getting there slowly albeit very slowly.
Im about 70 miles up the M1 in Worcestershire so any more trouble and yes I might be on my way down to see you. Thanks for your help anyway holtneil.

Cheers Martin.

Hi Martin your well to pop down , now to arm the Naza power up transmitter then power the quad wait till all the light go to a all green flash ( outside not indoors as it wants a gps signal) you need to do the compass dance really but we just want to check motors work , Now pull the sticks down and outwards the motors will spin slowly to dis arm its the same down and out
there is 4 ways to arm disarm both sticks down and out , down and toward the power switch , throttle down and out cyclic down and in, throttle down and in cyclic down and out
if the motor spin then it will fly but you MUST calibrate the compass and GPS to do this flick the atti /gps switch fastup and down till the led on the naza goes to a solid yellow now pick up quad and turn 360Degs till you get a green light now put it so its nose down( as long as you can see the LED mine is nose down led at back) spin 360 degs the green will go out now put quad down till you get a fast 4 green light flash then it goes single green slow flash this is now ready to fly , Now it depend on the flight mode used to what lights your get watch this video and it will show you what to look for

Hi holtneil,
Don't ask me what I done but I have motors turning, no props on yet I still have settings to do if I can figure out all the switches and what does what on my DX7s, but im getting there slowly.

Cheers Martin.

Hi Martin well done , it takes a bit of time to work things out , If you keep the naza assist running when its plugged in and quad powered up as you flick a switch it will show you what it changes , If your in Naza M mode you will have CL course lock,HL home lock, GPS/atti 1/(atti 2 this can be made to be manual mode) , and you should be able to turn on IOC this makes the quad do what the stick command is no matter which ways its facing
