Please a little confirmation on Omnibus Set up

Material Stuff just turns to ash
Please advise I have http://www.readytoflyquads.com/flip-32-f3-omnibus-bec-w-baro-option & http://www.readytoflyquads.com/flip32-f4 arriving today but I as research details all over the internet the images of these boards APPEAR to have a jumper for the option of EITHER SBUS or PPM . I am familiar with this process from my Piko BLX FCs but these Omnibus pins look odd as if I am NOT supposed to solder the SBUS pins together to "select" SBUS as my protocol... Can ANYONE please confirm this for me Project Blue Falcon's videos did not indicate that this was a required step to actually use an SBUS implementation

I appreciate all assistance and insight respectfully,
Thank you

There's your answer. :)

Using SBUS or PPM Receivers
The first batch of these boards are set to use PPM by default, to use SBUS on the same pin you need to do some soldering to add an SBUS resistor. However as of August 2016, all the new boards can use the same pin for PPM or SBUS which is set as usual via betaflight configuration GUI.

I took the F3 into Beta flight once I finally got almost everything soldered up ( VTX is being Stupid and pops on the
Smoke detector every time no matter where I source its power PDB or FC..
anyway thats not my major concern at the moment )

My only oddity really is in Beta Flight I cant get the UART 3 to save serialRX !!!!!

of course I went into the later screen and set Serial RX and SBUS and saved and back and forth add infinitum but she wont save the UART 3 as serial RX
Is this a known prob... ??

I don't want to move over to UART 1 or two I have telemetry on 2 and thats a first for me ...

The upsetting thing is I was getting receiver response but then I changed the settings to UART3 SerialRX and then set the next config screen for SerialRX and SBUS thats when she lost it.

I flashed the next stable release for Omnibus & happily that took just fine but still no save in the Ports screen

FrSky X4R-SB - 3/16 Channel Receiver w/ SBUS I was asking Josh Bardwell about this when I realized its not even supposed to show you UART 3 unless its hooked up correctly ... I'm so confused.. I tried UART 1 with telemetry on UART2 to no avail same results she wont save port assignments and allow me to set up SBUS

Send it back. If you solderd anything you probably can't. I check everything now as soon as it comes in post. Then it goes in a checked draw. Bit of a pain but I know it's going to work, rather than build the thing only to find a problem. My best buys are a servo tester & a multimeter. These have saved me so much time & money.
