Well crap. Brand new flyer, already broke my drone.

Foot-Note

Things that fly. I think I like them?
So, I went and bought a Dromida Vista FPV. I talked to the guy at the store and he told me it was a pretty good drone and emphasized that it is durable because as someone brand new, that was one of my main concerns. Honestly I am pretty damn happy with it. I might have had 20 minutes flight time with it total. I really need to go buy a few extra batteries. Problem is the last outing it migggght have crashed landed. Tried to get it going again and immediately if flipped over. Brought it back to flat ground and recalibrated it. Attempted a take off, and same thing happened flipped right on its back. Upon closer inspection I noticed a stress mark and crack on the back right "wing". I plan on heading back to the store tomorrow and am hoping it will be as simple as buying a new frame. In my very short time flying I have found this to be a very fun hobby and I hope to get more into it. The idea of making my own drone in time is pretty awesome.

Anyhow, photos of the damage below. I can't say I have an actual question, just looking to vent.

Edit: So as a new account I can't post links. I have to have three posts before I can.

Should just go for building your own from the get go. For many reasons. No going back the dam shop for sure. You will know what parts you need when you break it which is inevitable and most of all its more fun watching your own contraption flying about at speeds double triple what a toy can do. You will kick yourself like I did. I bought a toy & got n hour tops out of it. I thought sod it & bought a £6 plastic frame 4 dys 1806 Simonk esc's, a cheap naze32 a turnigy 3s. I copied Bruce off RC model reviews.
It was a brick but it flew. The £35 flysky Tx I still use. Thinking about getting the turnigy evolution. I work at a recycling plant you wouldn't believe the stuff we get coming thru. I can get wire, capacitors, zip ties nuts bolts tape solder
Rx aerial wire is scavenged from routers & laptops. I only have to buy frames motors esc's pdb, flight control & battery's n props. So a kwad with the decent on it
Emax 2205 £50
Qav-R 220 £30
SPF3 £20
Pocket rocket 20a esc's £26
Flysky i6 Tx & rx £40
Total £160
Motors & frame could be halved with cheaper ones but the rest is as cheap as it's getting without compromise. You can even buy full kits from China for under £80 if you want to chance it. Like I said when your own kwad is flying you will be hooked even more. I like building em just as much as flying. That's a lie but it is fun.
